Window Card

Today I have a simple window frame gatefold style card embellished with my handmade flowers. I chose warm colours for this card, although it’s spring time. I always gravitate more towards the warmer shades. Now onto the card…

The card base is made of smooth white cardstock, the card measures 14cms by 18 1/2 cms, I tried to cut the top curve of the card as evenly as possible. The paper used is from the paper pack by enogreetings elegant flower set collection. I have made the window frame using file card paper( you could also use brown cardstock) and spread some texture paste unevenly to give the rustic look.

The hello die cut is from penny black I added some glitter onto it. The larger flowers are hand cut and embossed I shaded them using soft pastels, I also punched some leaves and sakura flowers and shaded them using steadler water colour pencils

On the inside of the card, I stamped some mini rosettes all over the card using a clear stamp and distress ink in the shade vintage photo. For the center, I have cut a piece of the same pattern paper and a piece of cardstock slightly smaller to it and distressed the edges using the same ink pad and glued the cardstock on the pattern paper and then stuck the pattern paper on the base using a double sided tape on three sides leaving the top part open to inserts a pull out card. The pullout card is made from another piece of cardstock cut properly to fit inside, I have distressed the edges on both the pieces of cardstock and painted the corners using a paint brush with some distress ink and water, after drying I stamped it improperly for the vintage effect using a stamp from the same stamp set.

Thank you for visiting,

Heena xoxo.
