Today I have an Altered embroidery hoop layout to share. I made this shabby chic layout using the beautiful rose quartz collection from prima and some Finnabair products. Hope you like it!
The embroidery hoop is 14 cms in diameter. I started off by securing the fabric tightly between the rings ( I have used a lacy netty fabric for this project) and then covered everything with a coat of white gesso. I have used some pieces of cardstock that are deeply scored at 1/8th inch throughout and painted them with the art alchemy metallic paint by Finnabair in shade vintage rose. The image I have chosen is from the rose quartz paper collection, I have also fussy cut some flower images from the rose quartz paper collection. Before sticking the flowers and embellishments, I painted the base with the art alchemy metallic paint in shade silver spoon and black gesso by Finnabair.
The flowers I have used are also from the Rose quartz collection, the flowers are dusted with frosting powder by Rajni Chawla. I have also used some leaf die cuts, Finnabair’s art basics 3D gloss gel, micro mini beads, mini resin roses, flat back pearls. The flat back pearls are painted with the art alchemy silver spoon and highlighted with gesso. Lastly, I added some spritz of black gesso.
Today I have some inspiration to share using the rose quartz collection from Prima. I personally really like this paper collection from prima the papers have beautiful patterns and I absolutely love the colour palette of pink, black and grey. The papers are great for making scrapbook and mix media layouts, I have made a shabby chic card which looks very “mix media like” and covered everything in tons of glitter.
The total card measures 6″ by 6″. I have ripped and torn the edges of my pattern papers and inked them black archival and layered them on my card base. I used the old script stamp from mudra and stamped the pattern papers randomly.
I have used a combination of my handmade flowers and prima flowers from the rose quartz collection, I have covered the flowers with crystal clear glitter and added the frosting powder on the edges. I have fussy cut the feathers from a pattern paper from the same paper pad and added crystal clear glitter on them from papericious. I stamped and fussy cut some tiny flowers from the botanical blooms stamp set from mudra and stuck them to fill any gaps. The small resin frame was primed with white gesso and highlighted very lightly with prima art alchemy wax in white gold. Lastly, I added some spritz of white gesso.
Other materials used are: fake white grass, white fabric lace, die cut leaves, wire pollens, foam tape, black archival ink pad.
Hope you liked my creation, Thank You for stopping by!
