Firstly Eid Mubarak to all the muslims all over the world may you have the most joyous eid day. Today i have two eid cards to share, i wanted to post this sooner but my blog was down for the past few days for some technical reason. I’m also putting this up for the mudra stamps june challenge and according to the challenge rule i tried this technique called triple time stamping, i had soo much fun making these cards. I also just want to quickly mention that some of the pictures and comments from my previous posts got deleted and i will be uploading the pictures very soon. On to the first card.
The card measures 8” by 61/2”. I have used the hibiscus stamp set and Islamic festive stamp set from mudra stamps for stamping both the cards. For creating the background I stamped the hibiscus stamp multiple time on the cardstock and heat embossed it using gold embossing powder. After I was done with the background I have cut two layers from the same cardstock then arranged and stuck them onto the card base using glue dots. The flowers and leaves are also heat embossed in gold and fussy cut, I have watercoloured and shaded the flowers using steadler watercolor pencils and stuck them using glue dots. The sentiment is stamped using black archival ink.
The second card,
For this card, I created a similar pattern on the background and heat embossed it using white embossing powder and then I watercoloured the background. The card measures 61/2” by 6”.Here I have cut the layers and stuck them on another piece of white cardstock slightly bigger and stuck the layers using glue dots. The sentiment is stamped and heat embossed in white but it turned slightly pinkish because of the watercolour background, the moons and stars are stamped using Versamark and dusted with Rajni Chawla’s frosting powder and heat set. The flowers are heat embossed in white, fussy cut and coloured with steadler watercolour pencils and stuck using glue dots.
On the inside, i created the same watercolor background and stamped the lanterns from the islamic festive stamp set and wrote the sentiment.
Thank you for visiting, have a great day!
