Cupcake Explosion Box

Hello everyone,

I am back again with a new explosion box if you are a follower of my blog then you already know how much I love making explosion boxes, I just love the idea of a card in a box form. Baking and cake decorating are another passion of mine and today I have a birthday explosion box with a cute cupcake center made out of paper.

The papers used are from Eno greetings Romantic paper pack. I have fussy cut the flowers from the pattern paper and stuck them on the outer sides of the box and the lid using foam tape to give a 3D look. For the lid, I have used die cuts from the same paper pack and my handmade paper flowers, I have added clear glitter on the flowers and the cutouts. I have stitched the borders on all the pieces of paper stuck outside(love the stitched borders).

On the center, i have placed the cupcake. The border of the cupcake liner is punched using Martha Stewart doily lace punch and I  made accordion folds using a score board to make the cupcake liner. I made a hydrangea flower cluster and glued a mini rose at the center top for the top part of the cupcake and I also made a cupcake topper with a toothpick.

For the sides I have made, a mini envelope to insert a personal note, some birthday quotes and some miniature fussy cutouts just to make it more girly.

This is a two layer explosion box on the outer layer I have made pockets on all the sides to insert photos.
