Shaker Explosion box – It’s a baby girl

Hello everyone,

Today I’m sharing a baby girl explosion box, it’s a congratulation card. I have an explosion box for every occasion and I love making them with little surprises inside this one has a baby carriage and a shaker lid.

The box measures 9 by 9 cms. I have made a shaker lid for this box, I have used a mixture of clear, white and pink sequins. The pink textured sequins are from papericious. The small baby shoes are hand cut.

This is a two layer explosion box, the inner layer measures 8.5 by 8.5 cms. The papers used are from papericious  It’s  peach time premium collection. Inside the box, I have placed a baby carriage, everything is hand cut and assembled. For decorating, I have used my handmade mini paper roses, lacy fabric, pearls and doily lace punch from Martha Stewart.

For the sides, I have hand cut some scallop circles. Everything in this box is hand cut I have not used any dies or templates. I made the small shaker toy using a chipboard element from the papericious theme chipboard- Ohh baby! and filled it with some pink glitter sand. I have also fussy cut the clock and the baby dresses. I have used ivory jute cord from papericious to stick the baby dresses.

On the outer layer, I made pockets on all the sides to insert some baby pictures.

Hope you liked it!

Floral seasons – Spring Card.

Today I have a spring card to share. Spring time is filled with creative inspirations for artists and crafters and I am one such crafter inspired by nature and botanical art. Here is my spring inspired card hope you like it!

The top fold card measures 20 cms by 15cms and the yellow panel measures 15.5 cms by 12 cms. The card base is made with smooth white card stock. For the yellow panel, I have cut a piece of cardstock slightly smaller than its base and scored it multiple times throughout then for the pale distress look I used the ink pad and added some ink on my craft mat and sprayed water and then pressed the cardstock on it, I did this for a couple of times and in between each addition drying my cardstock using a heat gun.

The paper used is from the papericious floral season premium collection I love this paper collection it has some gorgeous pattern papers. I have used a lace die cut out( don’t remember the name of the die) and I have used the same pattern paper for its base and I have adhered all the panels to my base card.

To decorate the card I made these blooming roses along with some mini roses and tiny punched filler flowers the leaves are from mulberry. The large flowers are made using sigma cardstock from papericious , I have coloured the petals with soft pastels and distress ink. Other materials used are ivory jute cord from papericious, pollens and fake dry grass.

Thank You for stopping by, Happy Spring and Happy crafting!

I was initially going to make a pop out kitchen card and Pinterest has soo many inspirations for kitchen cards then I saw a kitchen explosion box from Stampin up and I decided to make this. This is a very fun explosion box with a lot of miniature crafting. Continue reading →
